I have an atom based netbook, even common stuff like youtube videos are no where near smooth, but full screen DivX is, figure that one out. We need something better, and history has shown that Intel isn't going to give use something better until they feel market pressure. If not for the Opteron, AMD x2, and Via C7 we'd all still be using Itainium, P4 and ULV Celeron. And without NV and ATI IGP's we'd still be on 810 and 945 based graphics chipsets for everything not just netbooks.

Check your history books, Intel had no idea what it started when it first made the 8086, and it hasn't gotten any more insightful as time has past (the P4 proved this). They only know how to react to market pressure and they do so very well, so lets all hope the innovative likes of AMD, NVidia, and VIA stick around to keep that pressure on.
the problem with hulu is that they don't have enough bandwidth, I have a 16Mbps cable connections an their low resolution content often buffers, and the 480p option is just unwatchable. If my cable company starts providing me the same shows in a similar way it would not only be fast enough for HD, but would cost them less on internet bills since the content is only on their wires. As a customer, I like this idea, and doubly so if I can still access the content from any connection. I'm already paying for cable, but watch online because the network's scheduling doesn't match up with my viewing habits.

as for the other sources, it's mostly Windows only and that's just not convenient for me.

cable companies can't take hulu down, they don't have that power or right, but if they make a better way to watch for their customers, how's that not a good thing?
but how fast is it? if it only goes at 10MB/s, what's the point. storage is still the slowest part of the system, and strides in speed aren't improving fast enough. We've seen storage space enjoy an increase of several magnitudes in the last 10 years while speed increase is still struggling at making a single magnitude.
wait, drinking lots of beer doens't make one more attractive?!? dammit!
the N20 seems a little more practical to me
doens't look as big as Flavor Flav's clock.... hey now there's an idea, a solar clock necklace with integrated ipod dock!
I'm a PC and I use Linux.
landline phones can still be plugged into voip services, in fact most voip services that aren't primarily PC based require a landline phone to use them
I have no issues with EULA's or licensing, no matter how odd an unfair they may seem. You can always choose another product

it's patents I have a problem with, they prevent that "other product" from coming to market or being affordable
have 7200RPM 500GB 2.5" disks even been announced yet?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
