Actually, the first generation browsers were WorldWideWeb (for NeXTstep), ViolaWWW (for UNIX/X11), and WWW - The Libwww Line Mode Browser (for UNIX/CLI). The second generation was NCSA Mosaic, and the third generation was Internet Explorer and Netscape, which were both originally derived from Mosaic.
I retract the second part of my previous comment. "Capitalistic" really IS a word.
You know, it's weird how it's ALWAYS Fox who reports this kind of
story. Anybody else noticed this?

[sarcasm]Oh, and what does "capitalistic" mean? I've heard of "capitalist" but never this.[/sarcasm]
Well, he's a corporate lawyer, therefore, he is a vampire. Since he is a vampire, he has a heart, just no shadow.
@moulles (#15): From my experience, WebObjects, because of EOF, does NOT have to be taken down for updating, because I presume that they are only updating the SQL database (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, OpenBase, etc.). However, this experience only counts for version 4.5.1 and below, while Apple uses version 5.x. Also, they could be upgrading the version(s) of WebObjects to the latest 5.4, and upgrading the server(s) to Leopard, but they might have already done that.
Sorry, I meant "I've never been IN business myself".
Well, what I want (from OpenStep) is EOF (a database abstraction library) for Objective-C, and the Objective-C version of WebObjects (I'd like to keep using a compiled language, Apple!). And maybe Object Linking (as a user feature). And, possibly, at least some of the APIs being ported back to Windows and Solaris, and, as new ports, to GNU/Linux and FreeBSD (GNUstep is a bit buggy). What I was thinking was that they have a subset of the APIs ported (like Foundation and AppKit, but none of the "Core" frameworks), give away the user environment as freeware, and charge for the ported development tools. I've never been on business myself, so I don't know if it'd work, but it might.

Oh, and they should clean up TextEdit. It's been like this for 12 years, people. Time to fix it!
Yeah, he's right.

2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme
2GB memory
500GB hard drive
8x double-layer SuperDrive
ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB memory

I am no liar, I saw this myself. If it doesn't show up later, it must be a mistake on Apple's part.
#22: Sarah Jane was in an episode in Series 2, called "School Reunion". So, they actually have brought her back, but she now has her own (children's) show, which has already aired its pilot and will air the main series in September, IIRC.
This has to be a hoax. It violates the first law of thermodynamics. Either that law is wrong (unlikely), or this is a hoax (likely).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
