A "whole lotta" Led? Let's just hope you don't have a communication breakdown while talking on it.
Actually, the FCC rules are really vague. You aren't violating them until they decide that you are interfering. There are no specific specifications about wattage, etc.
Get a decent FM transmitter, kit or preassembled, like a Ramsey FM30B, about $200. FM stereo will not satisfy the audiophiles, but it's pretty sweet for the rest of us. You're then wirelessly transmitting to any device with an FM radio in it. It becomes so easy to expand your system. The FM30B or something else like it is way more powerful than those transmitters you buy for using in your car, in fact, you'll need to dial the power way down to use it in your house if you don't wan to get in trouble with the FCC. At full power, you can broadcast a quarter mile or more.

Also, there are some sleezy fly-by-night companies that claim similar range and are a lot cheaper that sell their products directly through eBay and other places like that, but the FM30B is the real deal.
Agree, that game was sweet, though I played it more on my 130XE.

The 800 was my first computer; we had the cassette drive with and a copy of Frogger that took like 20 minutes to load. Still, after it loaded it was almost exactly like the arcade version.

Now, for those of you who don't know why this is awesome, please get off of my lawn.
I have the previous generation and it doesn't work for me. I wanted to use my personal laptop (unibody MacBook) in my office and there is a strong signal I can access about 50 feet away down a somewhat winding hallway. My laptop can sometimes detect the network when I am in my office, but if I try to actually log on, it's never strong enough for me to use. The Wi-Fire seemed perfect for this, so I bought one a few months ago (from a place that didn't offer refunds/returns - my mistake), but, no matter what way I pointed it (it's a directional antenna), the signal was still detectable but unusable. So, it seems no better than an internal MacBook antenna.
I prefer Audio Hijack Pro for this, but maybe that's because I already know what streams I want to record, and I don't feel like I need software to seek out my favorite genres for me. I don't know. AHP does a lot, is cheap, and looks way better. I gotta say, the screenshots above look pretty tacky.
Apparently VLC 1.0 has Airtunes support as a feature. Has anybody tried this yet? Does it sync audio with video?
And, unlike the Mac Mini, if I'm reading correctly, this has no optical drive, so you'd probably still want to have another piece of hardware for playing DVDs or Blu-Ray discs, no?
Stop listening to anybody who cites Milton Friedman or Ayn Rand as an influence!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
