I guess it's a fitting transition into a period of much grief and woe, but that was the saddest happy post I've seen. "These people are cool, but they all died." You've now happily made me more sad.

Oh well, bring on the misery!
I'd second jordan's Bankoff recommendation, but if not Bankoff, then Kevin Rose.

PS, you taking shout outs still?
Tell me I'm not the only one who finds it ironic that Lock is paying Jason's bar tab....

If not ironic, than at least a little funny.
I'm more concerned about what it'll do to the internet dumptrucks.
Fast Forward is really known more for their high (high x3) end video playback devices, rather than an attempt at a prosumer level market. They're the ones basically responsible for those cool interstatials ESPN/FOX/NBC Sports do now when going to replay (replay effects, if you will.)

Meanwhile, if you're looking for something more prosumer (and realistic,) peep the firestore. It works pretty solidly, and if you're really interested, firestore makes a unit that mounts directly into the JVC DV5000 camera.
Hey,

Just thought I'd throw some words your way.

South Africa is ghetto in some parts, but I've had many-a south african friend [including Ludwig, the poster] who come from parts of the country that are pretty much the same as Europe and the USA.

Yes, it is a huge problem, but it's not yours. Thanks for deciding what others values should be before they do.

Try to realize that the world isn't black and white. Its not a huge "If continent == africa, then most of the population has aids" issue.

Yes african aids are huge, but lets be honest, let the folks in south africa have some fun with Rockstar's Table Tennis like the rest of us.

Ahhh, Doom 1, the new "Hello World" of the modding community.
Nick,

Tell me you wouldn't pay it though.

Of course... I wouldn't have to.

*ducks*

=)
I don't think movies can really jump sharks... I think it's the creators who ruin them, and since there isn't (and won't ever be) a Napoleon 2, the movie will never jump the shark in most people's books.
Hey,

I don't think a post about hello kitty could go without a Paul Miller reference.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
