I have both Cingular HSDPA and Verizon EVDO cards for the work that I do. Comparing EDGE to EVDO is like comparing Dial-up to 512Kbps Broadband(if you can call it that.) However, I was surprised to find out that even a one-bar HSDPA signal running Cingular's Aircard 875 is somewhat faster than Verizon's PC5740 EVDO card. When Cingular get's it's HSDPA service where EDGE is currently at there will be no reason not to go with HSDPA unless you don't like Cingular, however Sprint/Nextel is one of the worse for trying to get out of a contract. I've tested latency and the HSDPA is mostly twice as good as EVDO in it's response times which means overall user-experience is more positive even if pure download speeds match. For what it's worth I have not tested HSDPA coverage much but I have ran Verizon's EVDO on moving road trips in rural Southeast and it seamlessly down-speed and up-speed when needed only dropping once in a 245 mile trip. Pretty impressive. It won't be as long as some think for Cingular to get it's act together and get HSDPA widespread, especially if the FCC get's off their asses and allows the AT&T/Bellsouth merger to go through.
Sorry, but if Sony sent him the label then it's up to Sony to file the claim with UPS. Also, UPS would have weighed the shipping box and their system would then identify if the Console was in the box when he shipped it which would remove him from being liable. Sorry but Sony should send him another full retail box and it be checked for functionality before shipping it to him. Nintendo wouldn't do this.
Yep, mine does the same thing. Hopefully Nintendo will fix these issues in a Firmware update. What they need to do is upgrade their bandwidth to their Internet servers for the Shop and for the Channel updates. They should have know what to design for by the numbers they are going to release. Mine downloaded two updates today and were extremely slow. I purchased 2000 points via the Wii Store thru the Wii interface but when I now try to access the store I keep getting error codes: 209600 and 209601. These are probably time out codes waiting on Nintendo's overwhelmed servers.
Yep, looks just like the Dyson Airblade, just bigger. hehe
Yes, the Whippits comment made me LMAO. Back in the good-ole days.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
