Engadget editors should be more selective about reporting this kind of thing. The author seems a little overly jubilant about this product and it's "nanotechnology". Look, it's just a UV light, they've been around for decades. And sure, everything is "nano" at some level. It's a buzzword. There's nothing innovative about this product on the nano level. Bacteria etc. is on the semi-nano scale, and gee, sure, UV light zaps bacteria. Big deal.
it's simple, they harness the psychic energy flowing through the upper stratosphere using specially aligned Chi channeling objects. Jesus, their site is a wreck. Any REAL company does one thing before they get round 2 venture capitol: buy up and obtain patents on their tech. No patents, no real tech. Simple as that. They don't have any patents. Their tech is made up.
This article is full of it. Go to the linked website. Other storied on the "news" page are full of sensationalism -- "man-dog cloning will revolutionize the future" etc. It's tabloid journalism. Notice the article on nanodogs does not mention how the technology works besides briefly saying something about enzymes (which can only work in liquids by the way!). How is detection accomplished? Electrical measurements, optical transduction, fluorescent dyes, etc?? What is the delivery mechanism? I'm sure these researchers have a nice sensor, but this is sensationalized.
Ok, so I know I'm a lone voice here, but anyone else think they should stop using all that extra storage for high-def in a single movie title and instead cram a bunch of movies onto a blue ray disk? I'm perfectly happy with DVD quality, and I'd rather have 1 disk with 4 or 5 dvd quality movies than 1 disk with 1 high-def title. Hell, i'd rather have 1 blue-ray with 30 divx . .. .. mmmm, blue ray burning of torrents...[salivating]
I can please to get phone? ga.
(kidding)(well, kidding around, but not about the phone - pick me!)
[rolling the dice] . ..
unfortunate to hear of discontinuation ga.
I hope this does not affect engadget cellphone sales to Nigeria ga.
Recommend you transition telegrams to blind teletype machines ga.
Good luck! Ga.
Anyone know how I can get in touch with the gal in the pic? She's hotter than a Macbook Pro...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
