Japanese phone manufacturers make GSM phones mostly for the Chinese market unless it supports UMTS as well it won't be very useful in japan.
That said, as soon as it gets picked up by the hong-kong resellers you should be able to get one shipped to the good old USA... assuming it has an fcc-id or sneaks through customs as another brand of phone (chinese phone pie-rats are a creative lot).
I got an acer al2416w which does have dvi and analog. I'd say it a bit sharper at it's native resolution on the dvi than the analog.
One thing nobody metions is that the heat rolling off this display dries out your eyes if you sit in front of it 10 hours a day.
We have a dell 2405w in the office as well and the controls are slightly better. The fact that it pivots 90 degrees may add value for some people. also it tips left or right, the only adjustment on the acer is angle.
Notwithstanding the above issues, I don't have any major complaints with the acer and the price was right.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
