HURRAH! I've got a 404 AND a 604 wifi, this is seriously excellent news. FLAC support is first on my list. :)

Quality. Big up to Archos. :)
When I was at school (bout 10 years ago now) we got shiny admin access on our school network because the admin guy left a comp logged in, with netware admin on the screen, in one of our IT lessons. Took about 2 seconds to make an admin account then we were home free.

To be fair we only used them to chat to other people on the schools network (gave them access to the netware chat prog), and some other pretty benign stuff. We eventually got caught cause we got a bit blatant about it, but we all just got a slap on the wrists - to be fair we were all 'straight A' students, which probably had a fair bit to do with it. God forbid if we did it now tho, hi ho off to prison we go.
Any sound engineer will tell you steer clear of B&O, unless you've got money to burn and prefer, pound for pound, really quite bad sound. Seems most people agree, but yet they still sell this crap by the bucketload. Their adverts obvious target the 'middle class/stupid' demographic. ;-)
Fair play to the evidently uber clever scientists. All our photons are belong to them, indeed.
AND mines looks like a beta max video recorder. 80's retro ahoy. Genius.

Im guessing it's just you poor USizens that are blighted by this, poor sods. I just got myself a shiny new freeview DVR here in the cold, wet, grey (yet oddly amazing) UK. Now I too can fast forward thru adverts, and no longer have the cane ye olde broadband for my TV. Stupid stuff like recording C4 news (never in to watch it but it's really very good) is a depressingly amazing event. I shouldn't be this impressed with a glorified VHS recorder, but stuff like pausing the TV while I piss will always make me smile.

I, for one, welcome our corporate overlords.... they can suck on my fast-forward button.

Indeed, it's not 1984... it's not all that far from it tho. We're the most watched nation on earth, and I think that's the point they were trying to make. On the subject of bikes.... mine was written off (as was I for three months) when what I'll call a 'blind bastard' decided to drive into me, 2 days before my birthday too.

Generally a speeding motorcyclist will kill himself and nobody else (I've never seen a bike win in a fight with a car) - car drivers are statistically more dangerous to a bikers' life than speeding. Bikers know to 'ride safe,' and if you do open it up a bit then you know the risks your taking with your own life - limiting a bikes speed is just ridiculous, are we all 12 years old? AND BEFORE THE FLAMES BEGIN, I'm not condoning speeding - what I'm saying is a) ppl will do it and b) bikes aren't really a danger to pedestrians or cars - you'd have to be pretty unlucky to get hit by a speeding bike while crossing a B road. Next they'll want to put stabilizers on them too. Nanny State 2.0 here we come.
10 mins of gaming per charge?
Maybe that's why they're saying Q1/Q2... they'll release them for the new ones too?
Off topic....but Eric, what in christs name are you doing on engadget at 6pm on christmas day? Eat and drink man, eat and drink! I think, being called Eric, it's fair to assume you shouldn't be here! Crazy fool.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
