Ouch.

That's why my wife keeps telling me that I'm an idiot...
Atari 2600 PLEEEEEASE!
@DickHardknocks

So now the issue is ASIA, instead of all the AMERICAN companies that were the ultimate responsibles of selling you "garbage for the past 25 years"???

Moron
Sarcasm anybody???
OK, so now it's Apple's fault that consumers are willing to pay just a few bucks for a song and several hundred dollars for an iPod...

Well, OK, maybe Apple can be blamed for 50% of it.
"Just in case you really needed another alternative"

AFAIK, the word "alternative" should be used when you have only two options (i.e. a candidate and it's alternative).

Here the word "option" should be used instead of "alternative"...
Palm Tombstone

(actually I stole that one from Evander who posted it somewhere else)
I totally agree with you Ryan.

I ask myself if the folks at Palm spent 5 minutes interviewing executives about what they really want and need.

Now I'm certain that Palm is doomed. Good news Apple.
2%-3% of the worldwide cell market.

That's all what Apple wants. And they want the premium 2%-3%. That's more than enough for Apple to make billions of additional revenue.

Apple will never compete in the rest 90%-95% of the market, mainly low-margin mobile phones.

That's the point Dvorak is missing.
Sorry TriZz and CJ, but I have to disagree with you.

Have you noticed they are using visual elements of the iPod campaign?

IMHO, they are quoting Steve Jobs in a cynical way.

BTW, I couldn't care less about Steve Jobs, it's just my understanding of the protest...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
