It is an interesting idea. Many of the 'sensors' created in nature are better than anything man has ever made. I remember a body sniffing dog that was used here in Michigan could successfully find bodies in deep water - Once thought impossible because of the very low number of parts per million of scent in the air above the lake. I think it will be decades or even 100s of years before we even get close to sensors of this caliber.

A PC at this price brings back memories of the internet appliance iOpener. Even better in the PC in the above story is the small form factor. I can imagine all kinds of cool geeky things that could be done with it.

I thought you could just right click on the setup file and set it to run in compatibility mode for XP SP2, and it installs and works fine. What is all this crap messing around with the MSI installer?

I wonder if this works with Media Center. Is it for viewing on just your 360, or can you view these on your 360 in its capacity as an extender?

A commodore 64. Yep a commodore. I have one of the old SX machines, and I would hook that thing up and play 1942, or BoulderDash
This is really too bad. The analog networks coverage is much futher when you are in a far away location. I remember times when I was in the back areas of Yellowstone and the On-Star cell phone would still work. From what I understand, the new digital networks can't reach as far and there are fewer cells available.

Also I think the hidden cost that On-Star is getting hit with is all the little mom and pop cell towers that still charge crazy roaming fees. Switching to all digital will probably stop this right in its tracks.

Too bad all those cars will now have a broken system :(

I have been waiting for apple to finally come out with their own PVR solution. Again it shows how Apple is way ahead of their time. The digg article that says this is the same as the set top box 11 years ago is crazy
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
