Are you guys insane. We need rumble man! The whole game entertainment will come to life with rumble. Right now the PS3 controller is the worse of all three next gen game systems. It as light as a feather and the only cool feature is the six axis.
The reason why Wii is at the top of the list in the controller category is because it's design novelty. Lets not forget on of the main reasons why the Wii controller is #1 is because it has rumble. (Touch)Rumble = feel your game. (Vision) 1080p = See your game in crystal clear quality.(Hearing) 5.1 audio = Hear you game with amazing audio feedback. Now that leaves out two of the 5 senses of taste and smell. You don't have to worry about these senses being implemented into a game system for along time.
But, one thing Sony can also do is improve their PS3 game system's graphic card. What they need to do is pull out that RSX and put in a 8800 GTX based card.
No need to buy the d92u series if they don't include HDMI 1.3 and anything above 12-bit processing
The Xbox 360 needs a slot-loading disc drive like that of The Nintendo Wii and The Sony PS3.
These are the specs that will make a console last 10 years

PS3 SE second edition
blu-ray - hd-dvd combo drive/ hdmi 1.3a port/ wi-fi for all models/ 512 MiB or 1GB of Rambus XDR DRAM/ 6 GHZ cell processor 65 nm/ New RSX graphics card based on nVidia's upcoming 8900 GTX instead of the crappy 7800 GTX/ reduced amount of heat coming out there the sides of the console *Hardware upgrade compatibility

XBOX 360 codename: ZEPHYR
blu-ray - hd-dvd combo drive/ hdmi 1.3a port/ built in wi-fi for all models/ 4 GHZ tri-core 65 nm processor/ New graphics card based on the ATI R600/
Quiet Fan/ runs cooler and less heat generated *Hardware upgrade compatibility

- These specs will make both companys microsoft and sony a lot of dough. Both companys should make the hardware for next line of ps3's and xbox 360's upgrade compatible. Making the hardware upgrade compatible like that of a pc will allow gamers to take out there old 360 or ps3 graphics card and put in a new one when the company creates them.
PS3's RAM is only 256 MB. That's not a lot of RAM especially if you are going to run linix on the ps3. 512 MB minimum and 1 - 2 GB's of RAM would be appreciated. I hope someone from Microsoft or Sony reads this thread.
"very true, bigeddie. I also am enjoying my time playing such mentioned games, especially Oblivion. My only concern is that if this does come out that Microsoft will forget the owners of the original 360 and make games based on this systems specs, example: like games using the new graphics card and processor therefore less pretty games on the original 360, that would be gay."

This is not true, the games would obviously look better on the console with the new graphics card and processor, but that doesn't mean you can't play the game on the original console.
Even if they did put this new chip in the ps3 I wouldn't buy the ps3 nor the xbox 360 until they add these specs.

If apple makes a new mac pro with an 8 core processor they should also make it compatible with Harpertown when it comes out. If you could drop 2 Harpertown processors in there when it comes out you'll have a 16 core processor. I think Apple should also try to improve the quality of their Cinema Display Line. Maybe they should team up with Toshiba and Canon and start making a SED Cinema Display Line. From all this good news I hear about SED it seems to be the ticket in the future of HD

"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
