Fair enough, with that in mind I withdraw my complaint. But if you ever recommend the executable, you'll be hearing from me again! ;)
Yes, but what it does isn't my issue, it's what malware and background processes it installs with it that's my concern.
WheatherBug? Seriously? Anything from WeatherBug's one of the first things I uninstall from a client's systems. Is their gadget any less repugnant?
Will have to wait and see how this turns out, but I just might consider buying one of these to replace my Touch Pro, assuming I have the funds. While I've loved my TP, it's time for a change, and Android's looking better by the day. Assuming all the functionality I need is there, and assuming a 2.0 upgrade hits or is hacked in fast, I may just go for it.
For me, simply being proven wrong that Metroid really DOES work beautifully in 3D. While I still prefer the 2D games, Metroid Prime was one of the best-feeling games ever, and getting inside that suit and experiencing the world from her eyes turned out to be amazing.
Winning this giveaway would definitely make me one happy person.
To be fair, MBAM usually can't remove these infections alone, because they already block it from running. MBAM, Spybot, etc. all get blocked from running by the newest fake AV apps. Really, the only surefire bet for most is to boot into safe mode, run ComboFix first (usually renaming it to something like spaghetti.exe), let it do its thing, and then run MBAM to clean up the rest.
Large businesses don't buy individual licenses. They have Open IDs with VLKs. They pay a large chunk of change annually to have unlimited access to MS's offerings. Every time a new product comes out they receive a new key and disc. So this doesn't affect business of that size, anyway.
You know how most people name-drop celebrities? I name-drop people like Voldi and Matt. I've had the privilege of meeting and hanging out with both of them at E3, and occasionally run into them in Valencia. You'd be hard pressed to meet nicer, more interesting guys, and I continue to geek out over their work. Matt's an awesome artist who's managed to carve out a unique and extremely recognizable style, and the entire team's beyond talented. It's too cool to have such a great developer in my home town and to actually know these guys. Although, to be honest, I'm not sure either one remembers my birth name. Matt even had to introduce me to his wife as TurboFool.
I'd love to pick up some new PC games and hardware. Now that my wife's taken over the TV with the Wii, I'm getting back into PC gaming.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
