Six shows that I am watching pretty regularly this season {TV Squad}
Oct 13th 2008 8:50PM Right now, subject to change once my favorite shows (BSG, 24, Lost) come on of course.
1. The Office (my favorite sitcom on TV).
2. Greek (it's become my guilty pleasure show, it's that good).
3. Lincoln Heights (great family/city drama, I'm shocked I like 2 shows on ABC Family).
4. Dexter.
5. Entourage (still enjoyable to watch, but I don't think we'll ever get back to the great S2 quality).
6. House.
Thank the gods for DVR and torrents. Most of the shows I watch later as background noise when I'm doing work on my laptop.
Hauppauge adds 5.1 support to the HD-PVR {Engadget HD}
Oct 1st 2008 7:49AM Is there anyway to save shows directly in xvid format (without converting them later)? This is for a SD show.
Electric MINI spotted in Munich, expected at 2008 LA Auto Show {Engadget}
Sep 22nd 2008 11:26AM GREAT movie. It's what made me fell in love with the Mini. Never drove one, but they seem like a fun car to drive. Only thing is down in south FL I see a ton of women and old people driving them. Now I wouldn't get a convertible one or one that's a light color, but the people I see driving them makes me a tad self conscious if I were to drive one.
Could your next laptop double as an HTPC? {Engadget HD}
Aug 16th 2008 8:17PM I agree Mark. The Dell hybrid is a step in the right direction and it does look great (perfect for that use), but the parts are a bit weak for full HTPC use. I think I'll wait till the next version to pick one of those up.
One of the things I love about my laptop is sitting on my couch doing my work on it while watching TV/movies. I don't think I'd like if I want to put something on using the HTPC and have to dock my laptop to view it.
AT&T exec talks U-verse, HD plans {Engadget HD}
Aug 12th 2008 10:58PM Why do they ave the stream limit anyway? The price and HD selection is great, but that's a pretty big limitation to have when HD sets are taking over. Nobody else has those limits.
Lost stars trying to renegotiate {TV Squad}
Aug 12th 2008 11:30AM Let me guess, you're a girl right? ;-)
Power Pack 1 and HP's add-ons make Windows Home Server a real grouch {Engadget}
Jul 28th 2008 9:56AM So who here has one of these HP WIS servers and actually likes their's? I realize most people recommend upgrading the memory which I don't mind doing. But I've read reports of people adding more then one HDD to it and having trouble? Who's added more hard drives and liked the performance?
I'm also curious as to see if this would work nice with my popcorn hour unit. Anyone have experience with it?
Ask Engadget HD: What's the best long-range OTA antenna? {Engadget HD}
Jul 16th 2008 10:14PM I use that antenna too. Great results in my attic. I did have to put it off the floor in one of the posts to get really good results. The floor (with the insulation) wasn't cutting with it. Very happy now though, and until Directv can start broadcasting the CW in HD, I can at least view it through OTA (which I couldn't before).
Jamie-Lynn Sigler to guest star on Entourage {TV Squad}
Jul 7th 2008 9:50PM Your a girl, you wouldn't care about Sigler. ;-) I feel the exact opposite way.
Comcast plans to go all digital in 20% of its markets by year's end {Engadget HD}
Jun 19th 2008 11:54AM Sucks most likely it won't be Palm Beach County down in south FL. We're still on Adelphia's crappy old system. It'd be nice to fully switch over to Comcast. Though I did sign up for Directv for my main TV viewing, so I'm pretty happy with that (minus the pricing that could be a bit lower).
