Because they have such a great track record with pricing and release dates. People stopped caring about this company when they jumped into bed with Microsoft and ruined any good will people had for them.
See if you can lay your mitts on a refurb gyration keypad. They have much better range than most wireless keypads and they are considerably smaller than a regular keyboard (albeit harder to type on as well if you have big hands).
"... what're you waiting for?" 8.10.1 to be released shortly no doubt :)
All of these games can still be purchased used pretty much and play perfectly through various forms of emulation.
thats awesome, my GF will like this news a lot. she has both versions and its annoying to have to switch games to play the ps2 version)
I think tey are the same part at least for rock band.
Where is the source for the OS. You know this damn thing runs linux hehe. :)
I enjoy gametrailer's but their reviews are definitely biased when it comes to PS3 games. Ever see them review a PS3 version of a game that was released on both the platforms? Never. Well other than the incredibly misleading 360/PS3 comparison videos which are incredibly subjective.
Bootcamp has nothing to do with Wine (CrossOver). Wine is an actual implementation of the Win32 lib/system interface for non-windows operating systems. Its not emulation. Its not dual booting.
Actually regular old Wine plays a crap ton of games without having to shell out any money for cross over. I've got applications that run faster under Wine on linux than they do on the same machine running windows. Its kinda scary :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
