That would be "urban/suburban" SUV buyers. The ones who need four-wheel drive so they can negotiate the speed bumps at the super mega macys mall.

Some of us use our SUV's (Honda Element) to haul our gear when we go camping and fishing.
Yes. However, it is extremely time consuming. From http://www.switch2hydrogen.com/h2.htm
"You can produce your own Hydrogen from electricity using either common "household current" or directly from solar cells so your energy cost is zero. It does however take a substantial amount of time to produce sufficient Hydrogen to fill even a small tank.
As an example, it takes over 2 days of our generator running at full power, 24 hours a day, to fill our smallest "short range" tank."
Enoch,
Bottled water is regulated by the FDA, see 21 CFR part 129 and 21 CFR § 165.110. You can also find a wealth of information at www.nsf.org Additionally the label on Aquafina has always said "purified drinking water" if you truly believe that that has no cost then you are truly foolish. Then again you chose fabrication over facts.

As for Jeff Hoard's assumption that "major corporations are profiting from public water systems". The "major corporations" are not getting tap water for free. Spouting pompous faux outrage is simply ignorant.
The fact that this story exists demonstrates how lazy and ignorant people will strive to be when given the chance. The information linked here http://www.nsf.org/consumer/bottled_water/bw_faq.asp?program=BottledWat has been available for years. Bottled water is regulated in the US by the FDA. Additionally if bottled water is advertised to be spring water they are required to name the source of the spring on the label. Arsenic metals and PAH's are monitored contrary to claims made by other commenters.

The bottom line is that if you expected Aquafina, Daisani et. al. to be something other then filtered tap water then you are a fool and deserving of ridicule.
"war profiteer" Does that include the pride of EX-marines everywhere abscam murtha who has been funneling DOD money to his buddies in PA?
Unfortunately your comment has fallen on deaf and dumb ears. It runs contrary to the prevailing religion.
mehckdj & Frankenstein Black More enlightened progressive comments. Typical. Since my opinion is that the political commentary is insipid and tiresome I must be a republican. All you've managed to prove is that anyone who doesn't buy into your religion should be silenced or ridiculed. The only people who feel the need to engage in that behavior are fascists and tyrants.

Thanks bill, what an extremely progressive and enlightened comment. And thanks for proving my point. I guess I should add that losers insist that everyone feel their "pain".
The "political" commentary is insipid and tiresome. Losers always complain when they lose, and they complain when they win. Losers always make excuses and blame others when they lose. The only thing humorous about this is seeing the losers pile on in a massive pathetic orgy of childish comments.

FWIW - This is the same Massachusetts that rolled over when microsoft whined about open document formats. Where is the poll to see who gets fired or who resigns?
Is that to-may-to or to-mah-to?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
