Lutz would have gone ahead and started selling the Beat this year, they'd of been in MUCH better financially. Yeah it doesn't make much on each car, but the fact of having a hit would shor up their stocks.

Yeah I think the "free market" speak is crap. "Free markets" don't exist because there's always tarrifs/taxes or other fees tact to products/services. In any case I think regulations are necessary. Or else you have chaos.
Fact is we're bending to the will of an oligarchy. Forgive me, is that word too big for you? A country controled by a small group is controling what we SEE outside of their country. Isn't that incredible? So USSR comis were our enemies but Chinese comis are our friends? WTF?

It's something I think most people believe is a good cause. With all this free market crap, we sure do bend easily to the will of an oligarchy. Jun 18th 2008 8:07PM How the f*ck does this car get such poor mileage when it's older bro pre-50-state-legal was getting hi 40s? I don't get it. SERIOUSLY disappointed. Especially after the rumors of 60mpg.
Not a good way to start the diesel "storm" that was supposed to flood the US. Especially with the inflated diesel prices at the pump. To really sell, I'd say it'd need close to the rumored 60mpg. Also it'd be great if it came with a manual tranny.
