I can't believe people are bashing this. This is genuinely cool technology. It's also a prototype. If you can build a better "e-paper" solution right now, then by all means, let's see it. If not, please try to appreciate this innovation for what it is, and not nitpick it for what it isn't.
All those nice specs, but only a 5400rpm hard drive? Come on now. I realize that hard drive speed isn't all-important, but if you're going to sell an ostensibly top-of-the-line machine, at least make sure all the components are top of the line.
Manufacturers have been cheaping out on resolution because battery life has been the name of the game for the last year or so. Dude, don't you have a couple of supermodels to be banging or something? Or a new Airbus to buy for your personal use? Seriously; why waste your precious time here? You are meant for bigger and blingier things!
On that note, I can't wait for the "Super Deluxe Limited Edition Tony Hawk XBox 360" to drop somewhere in the next few months -- featuring a laser-etched Tony Hawk signature, a free copy of whatever his latest shitty clone game may be, and an extra 10GB of storage space, all for just $700.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
