Intel exec speaks the obvious: first-time buyers aren't going for netbooks {Engadget}
Jul 29th 2009 6:30PM I would have thought this was the most obvious answer. Netbooks are good for everyone you don't have to spent a lot and still have a "laptop" for the odd occasion you do need it. The only reason you would have a laptop and a netbook is if you pretty much use your laptop as your desktop (it does not move) and need something to carry around.
Wireless charging comes to Apple's iPhone 3GS, thanks to WildCharge {Engadget}
Jun 24th 2009 8:04AM I initially felt the same, im not interested in wanting to convert my phone to it, but if it ever becomes built in then fine, and say you go over to a friends or somewhere on holiday maybe (all hotel could have it in the rooms) and your phone needs topping up you just place it on the nearest charging mat. It should also come with the phone. Im not going out my way for it which is key im not desperate for it by if we want to move with the times I see no problem in it being built in.

Video: UK Folding Plug concept could flatten that bulky British adapter {Engadget}
Jun 23rd 2009 7:22AM Now that truly is something, you have to watch the video btw, it answered all my questions. The multi adaptor is amazing this is a £Million idea for sure, it better take off no reason why it shouldn't. I have this problem with my DS, I have a little bag for it and i have to squish the adaptor into it, the only bulky thing.
The multi adaptor idea just takes it to the next level, its genius to just keep it flat but this relies on the idea taking off. Most existing devices use power cables so people can just buy new ones so as long as they are not charging monster prices for them I would be willing to buy them.
AT&T's iPhone 3G S launch day pre-orders already sold out {Engadget}
Jun 13th 2009 2:24PM I take it this is the original iPhone 2G owners performing their upgrade?
SanDisk designs "netbook-specific" SDHC card, grossly overcharges for it {Engadget}
Jun 2nd 2009 10:15AM Well you pay the price for being an idiot? Still unfair to overcharge people who don't understand.
Microsoft's Zune HD shipping on September 5th? {Engadget}
May 31st 2009 7:22PM The UK is becoming much like the US, networks have virtually stopped 12 Month contract and introduced 18 as standard, now 24 month are options but eventually they will make 18 month contracts worthless just as they have done 12 Month by charging high prices per month for such low number of minutes + texts. Also the high end phones are not free unless you are on a £35+ contract.
Creative TravelSound i85 adds external speaker, FM tuner to iPod nano {Engadget}
Apr 23rd 2009 8:59PM AM requires a looped antenna, usually in alarm clocks it would be a wound coil housed internally and the wire hanging out is for FM, these coils takes up lots of room so i presume that's why they're not used in mobile devices. I suppose you could loop around the device itself but its probably due to interference or something since the mp3 player is in the loop. I am presuming, but I hope im right, maybe someone else knows more.
HP Pavilion dv6, HDX 16 and more see updates, rumors {Engadget}
Apr 8th 2009 8:39PM really? hmm I always thought HP had better build quality than others, I found them to be better than dell at least, although I'm sure Dell have picked up their game since laptops have become more popular. I guess it's good to have all the options to choose from.
Microsoft boasts that 96% of netbooks now run Windows {Engadget}
Apr 7th 2009 12:02PM It's more successful that even MS want it to be! It's impressive that it has lasted so long. If people stick with XP there's no money to be made. Notebooks revived it again.
