Olympus E-P1 meets 50-200mm SWD lens monstrosity, hilarity ensues {Engadget}
Sep 5th 2009 11:13AM Dear Mr. Blurrycam,
There is a thing in the world called a tripod. Have you heard about it?
Microsoft's secret 'screw Google' meetings in D.C. {Daily Finance}
Aug 28th 2009 3:11PM How many of these comments are from MSFT astroturfers seeking to minimize the impact of this story? Some fraction of the "move along; nothing to see here" nonsense is probably from MVPs.
Face reality, MS operates at a level of evil not seen in most of the corporate world. They harm consumers as an unregulated natural monopoly, extracting supernormal profits and plowing some of them back into "Screw Everybody" meetings and support of the reigning political party.
Dell Mini 9 makes surprise reappearance on Dell's website {Engadget}
Aug 7th 2009 6:42PM I recently hackintoshed a Vostro A90, using a Runcore 64G and a new retail Leopard disk. I followed the instructions on mydellmini to the letter and it worked almost flawlessly the first time.
I also upgraded to 2G RAM and swapped out the keyboard for a far superior one, extensively documented at mydellmini. It has been a wonderful experience. The only issue has been that Restart causes the machine to shut down but not restart. The camera works, syncing with an iPhone works, wifi works, everything works.
Laser-equipped Virginia Tech dirt buggy can be driven by the blind {Engadget}
Jul 18th 2009 12:49PM So, in other words, this is equivalent to any car in Arizona (or any state where the right of blind retirees to drive is only ever challenged by suicidal politicians).
Macrovision re-invents itself as Rovi, kicks off with new guide "Liquid" {Engadget}
Jul 16th 2009 11:16AM The only "liquid" I can associate with MacroVision is Eau de Skunk.
There's no way to trust a company that thrives on consumers miserable. E.g., with only one high quality input on my tv, I tried to chain my input devices together, something that alerts MacroVision that I *must* be attempting to copy content. Their solution: buy another TV! No wonder they are more popular with manufacturers than consumers.
Olympus E-P1 available to those willing to pay a little premium {Engadget}
Jul 14th 2009 8:03PM So, what you're trying to say is "Why purchase a smaller camera when a larger one is available?" and "My uncle has a job so my opinion is valid." Cool. Prolly saves on medical bills to go to the doctor's nephew too.
Mysterious cyber-attacker hits at federal websites, crisis averted? {Engadget}

Olympus E-P1 Micro Four Thirds shooter leaked? {Engadget}
Jun 7th 2009 8:37AM @tekdroid: you pretty much have no idea what you're talking about, but you sure take your time doing it.
Just google micro 4/3 m adapter and you will see that the lenses are already there. There are already pictures all over of Summilux and Nokton lenses on early Micro 4/3 cameras. We're just waiting for this body.
Microsoft reportedly bans netbooks with hybrid storage systems, MSI's Wind U115 caught in the middle {Engadget}
Jun 6th 2009 6:30PM Why is this so hard to understand? Douche-Microsoft doesn't make enough money on XP. They don't want anything really great on XP because that reduces your pressure to pay them serious money for 7 or Vista. They limit netbooks to protect the high-margin business. It's that simple.
And yes, they are MUCH more evil than Apple because it's easy to avoid Apple if you don't like Apple. Try avoiding Douche-Microsoft. They simply count your processor orders from Intel and demand a payment. They are EXACTLY like a government tax because you can't avoid it. And because they are as big as a government, they can afford to have Douche-shills show up here and act all puzzled.
