Logical Answer: To replace my dying SLVR with a real web browser phone and iPod all-in-one.

REAL Answer: So I can use the RSS reader and check engadget as compulsively as I do at home, catching liveblogs of stevenotes will never be the same!!!

i completely dig the design, and the sensor, but a f/4 lens for a full spec compact camera? unless there's crazy noise reduction that allows you to shoot at 400+ ISO without grain, this appears to be the bottleneck
i'm not one to complain about grammar, but not putting a comma in that 35000 makes it about five times harder to read. 100% Easy 2 Read http://www.informationarchitects.jp/100E2R/
That lens has a manual/auto focus selector switch on it, and i seriousdly doubt that Nikon would release a manual focus SLR in america. /maybe/ in Europe, but i doubt the manual focus idea is true even still.
are they for serious?
1$/watt is insane, and that's if there was no computer in there.
seems like they might have a crappy computer combined with an amplifier that might get what, 200w RMS? i mean, a 1000w amplifier /and/ a computer in a case of that size would even pose a huge heat issue even if you could manage the power levels..

so, if you like clean, noise-free power for your speakers, and ease of upgradability in a computer, i think you should stick with a modular system. one that doesnt have an amplifier bringing exaggerated specs in press releases at very least
it's not just nice if you want to have another environment to work, you can also use this in times of crisis, ie: data corruption. say your computer wont boot due to a dying hard drive, just install on the usb disk and start recovering the data from that old drive!
this is a great program, as is mytunes-for windows, written in C++ (so it's particularly good for those anti-java hoons out there). ourtunes and mytunes are great in a college setting, as you can rely on others who download huge stacks of music off bittorrent, and not worry about your school catching /you/ for torrenting.. though, i hate the 5 person per day itunes sharing limit, what is that?
the problem i have with these projectors is the fact that they can only be mounted on a coffeetable. if you're interested in a decent movie-viewing experience, it would be wise to invest some time in ceiling-mounting your projector. now, on the subject of connectivity, it would be worthwhile to create a projector that has an umbilical wireless or otherwise, that is connected to the tuning and processing as well as dvd player. not only would this simplify things for the consumer, it would also cut down on the size of the projector, as the ceiling mounted section would only need to contain the actual projection unit
al: "So Bobby, how did they ever manage to make those full frame 35mm SLR's for decades then?"

in addition, all of those years of full frame 35mm cameras, do you remember a flash that went into your hotshoe rather than being built in?
sure the rebel ti and elan 7's have built in's but they're still taller than the 30d, and their viewfinder is nowhere close to the quality of the eos 1's and the like
i dont believe it.
i mean, full frame is crazy, cause there is not enough room for a pentaprism, and 10.2 MP & dust removal is just not a good step up for the 350d, cause it infringes on the 30d's marketshare while being a cheap physical design.
/although/ this could be relased in addition to a successor to the 30d because that was a very small upgrade from the 20d.

i'm gonna say look for 2 cameras or none, and i'm leaning towards the former
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
