Looks like a poor job on those hood scoops. Take a close look.

Otherwise, the color scheme is cool, interior and wheels are nice.
I hate the extra large 345 CI on the hood. Hell, you have a Daytona. No need to shout the engine size. Not a big fan of the DAYTONA badging at the rear quarter. I would have done it in flat black. Again, no need to shout with this car. Dump the giant marble shift knob.

OK. Enough of the cosmetic criticism. Let's see this puppy run.
Who do I have to kill to get the color code for that orange?
If they want to really pull in some cash, they would run a auction that includes one of each of those. [Slobber]
Did anyone notice they are investing $230 million in a plant that will build their 230 mpg car? Hmm. Probably not an arbitrary number. What else are they going to bring up with the number 230 in it?
Let's see.
First year production run: 230 cars
Factory rebate: $230
Government rebate: $230
Cost in fuel per year: $230
Average income of Volt buyer: $230,000
Average cost of Volt: $40,230

OK. Even I am getting sick of this. I will stop.
Stacy's show is called Gearz. I saw those episodes on the Banshee Miata. Link to the project.

It had me thinking about doing one. There are several companies out there that offer kits to convert it over to a Ford or Chevy V8.

Check out MosterMiata.com (Ford only) or http://www.bossfrog.biz/Miata_V8_Swap.html (Chevy LS engines!!!) for more information.

Get a 95 or 96 or so model for about $3K and have some fun once the conversion is complete.
@ Randy and Farris. That was frickin' hilarious.
Leave the political bull crap for Fox and MSNBC and discuss the cars.
Wow. A rational voice on Autoblog today. Frankly, I don't like the idea of subsidizing every little thing that goes wrong, but at the same time I don't want America out of the auto industry. I can only hope that this program works. The last administration did absolutely nothing to curb this catastrophe, but they are sure complaining loudly now. As someone who votes for people and not parties, I feel better about this crew than the last. (Let the flame wars begin.)
You state an example from Germany on support of this program, but offer no support that the program hurt used car sales in Germany. Keep conjecture out of the conversation and use empirical data only. You don't want to sound like those idiots that think you need to buy up teh world supply of guns in a bad economy, do you? ;-)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
