Please give us the option of newer things at the bottom. I don't want to start reading halfway through the keynote and have everything spoiled. The order is so much a part of the experience. Kinda like opening up the stocking stuffers before moving on to the main course of the Christmas presents!
Anyone consider the possibility that a recessed earphone jack coule serve to protect the jack from getting tweaked whilst earphones are inserted? Not saying that's the ONLY reason for the jack design, but could it be A reason?
Umm, I'm with T-Mo in L.A. on a SE 810i. I repeatedly get 1200kbit/sec with 0.233s latency with the 1MB test. How is that possible? Isn't that insanely fast?
To clarify, check out that remote, the simplicity of it (although not as simple as Apple's), the dock, the AV out. It's pretty easy with Microsoft's money to enter into a market and copy all of these advancements it's taken the iPod 5 years to implement and refine. I'm not at all surprised with the amount of polish this thing seems to have as a 1st gen product. If Apple is as shrewd as they appear to be, the 6G is going to crush the Zune on features alone. They've really had no incentive, up to this point, to push the envelope as they've had basically no competition. I can't imagine them pulling a Sony and basically handing MS this market as was done with the Xbox.
A groundbreaking product? The more I see of this thing the more it screams iPod knockoff. MS clearly realized they missed the boat on the whole iPod phenomenon and is now doing their best impersonation, trying to one-up the 5G in a couple of ways (bigger screen, crippled wireless). Redmond, start your copiers...

"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
