Woo Reading is in the video that my home town!! and ive drunk at that coffee republic, I finally feel that my hometown is worth something now it has been on Engadget :p
I think my £199 ($400) iPod touch has generated apple enough money, it certainly burnt a hole in my pocket. I bought it because I couldnt afford fees associated with a monthly mobile, so i thought id be safe with a one off payment.
Being greedy imo, multi billions of dollars not enough for you Apple?
We iPod touch customers obviously arent valued that much. Its like we are constantly second best the the 'AMAZING' iPhone. Grrr, no doubt it will also be £12 here in the UK.
You are aware that they are aiming to do this by using transparent keys and using a single display underneath helping to reduce cost.
Quoted from Optimus
'"It is obvious that 100 small displays are more expensive than 1 big display. So we're concentrating our attention on designing a keyboard based on Upravlator idea.

Our goal this year (besides starting production of the new Mini) is to create a prototype of a keyboard with transparent keys overlayed on a single display. Production should start later this year, or in the beginning if 2009.

First real thing will most probably be based on a TFT-display. Hopefully, this full-color keyboard will retail for under U$800."

Should of included this in the post.
exactly what I was trying to say! i will hire you next time i want to put a point across
oh so you wana be friends with the british when it comes to ur campaigns but when its time for one of ur competition we arent good enough to be able to take part in that, and you say about ur lawyer saying u can't but you have in the past (rarely)
oooh I need a new webcam!
yay finally a worldwide comp!
These things have been in england (HSBC) for quite a while now, once you have inserted the cheque you get a little scan of the cheque printed out on a reciept as confirmation that it was accepted, easy to use...but not exactly brand new technology to be posting about..
Yer...because the cost of a phone is purely the components, you have to pay AT&T, the promotional costs, the stock costs, the Research and development costs, Accesory costs and NUMEROUS other costs.
The price is justified imo
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
