Yeah, I'm sure the mega-corporation of CISCO will pwn Apple.....
Even if Cisco has the right to "iPhone"... it's not like Cisco invented that prefix "i" that is horribly attached to every electronic now.... which came first, the iPod or Cisco's iPhone....

And who cares anyway,... Apple could call it the iDildo and I would still be in line to buy it.
I agree with Geoff Padro.

Why on earth are blogging about what you no longer want to discuss? That in itself doesn't make sense.

The iPhone phenomena, the Zune/Microsoft issue, and large program giveaways are all valid topics for discussion and debate. What exactly would you like to discuss in 2007?

When and if the iPhone does break, will you be reporting on the latest app that allows snow to fall on my desktop? Is this a worthy story? I don't understand your view as deeming news unworthy because you are "tired" of reading about it.

Maybe it would benefit you to go ahead and research as to what journalism is.
Too bad this commercial won't make sense come January when iPods redefine "the social" by getting their own brand of wifi.
Jim uses an iPod [on the show].
How stupid of them to suggest the brown brick.
move it, whatever keeps the podcast alive, and it sounds like this would ease the tension of a weekly show, so do it!

i love the podcast, and if it stopped i'd have to start listening to Leo Laporte's iPhone "net"cast *cringe*.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
