The most hilarious comment so far has to be the guy that said "our founding fathers" (of the US I assume) invented patents. Do you have education over there at all I wonder ?

You put a man on the moon did you ? Not without german engineers and a V2 rocket to copy.

And you wonder why the rest of the world think you are arrogant ? It's amazing.
No incentive ? I think some people here are being somwhat cynical, people really don't buy new laptops every two years and this would enable the manufacturers to sell extra stuff all the time for your existing laptop.

This is certainly the future for laptops.
It's a toy, nothing else, what are they supposed to learn on it when the interface is so different from anything else out there ? As soon as they are in front of a normal conputer all their knowledge will be useless.

This thing is actually dangerous, it will keep the people in charge from spending the money required to get real computers.
There should be a rule saying you have to put your patent into use within a certain time, otherwise you loose it. If you can't do that then you can always license it or sell it but it shouldnt be allowed to just patent something and sit on it.

Patents are not ment to hinder development like they sometimes do today, their purpose is (should be) the opposite.
So, no women need to pee after going to the pub ?
I actually purchased one of these things directly from the source, it's horrible, really uncomfortable and horrible picture quality.

And since you see the plastic edges of the glasses when looking it really isn't like looking at a virtual 30" inch display, you are constantly aware you are looking at a small 2" display inside a pair of glasses.

For the price it's horrible, you can actually get a 27" LCD TV with HDMI for about 2.5 times the price of these glasses, considering that the pricing is way off, a reasonable price would have been $50.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
