I'm not really sure i understand the concept.. so my choices are buy a single use card with a 1GB capacity for $6, or buy a 1GB card which i can use pretty much indefinately for nearer to ten dollars, offloading data onto a hard drive and much cheaper CDs / DVDs for backup (where its more useful anyway)?

What's the target market? It isn't like SD cards are ruinously expensive anyway. It just seems like another way to build clutter and waste materials...
I'd love one of these, always wanted to get into photography properly.
a shiny new iphone? yes please, that would do very nicely :)
Ooh, a shiny media player doodad, can never have too many of those :).
A bluetooth music adapter? Sounds perfect for some wireless headphone listening on the (sadly) bluetoothless ipod touch that i covet so much :).
Go go second place, I could do with a shiny new mouse... or a shiny new camera... heck i'm just all about the shiny
Current favourite game would have to be Forza 2, vroooom!
"See old friend, I brought more soldiers than you did"

Good luck everyone, awesome film, awesome looking xbox :)
I don't understand why everyone is complaining about not being able to fit it all on the HDD. The movies are time based right... so you have to watch them within a couple of days then they are deleted, how many are you going to want to download at once? two max? so thats a maximum of 14GB you're going to need at any one time assuming they are all around the 7GB mark. The movies are stored on microsofts servers, you temporarily borrow them, in theory the 20GB hard drive is enough.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
