I bought one of this in early December. I mailed in the paperwork to get my free movies the next day. Here it is, end of February, and I still haven't received them.

Even if MS still has the coupon posted on their website somewhere, I wouldn't expect them to honor it anymore. They apparently weren't honoring them back before HD-DVD died, so there's even less likelihood of it now.
Hello, cool contest.
I really hate this format war. It's insanely stupid. I don't care which format "wins", every consumer is losing. My money is staying in my pocket until this whole thing is resolved into a single industry format like DVD is currently.
Wolfenstein Enemy Territory
favorite scene: when the queen guts that snivelling weasel in the counsel and the persian coins fall from under his robes. i really hate traitors and it was so satisfying to see him die in that scene.
You've all seen that "Dramatic Look" hamster on YouTube, right? I could seriously sit and enjoy stuff like that and more on an iPhone anywhere anytime. Considering how addictive youtube is, and how cool the iPhone is, I can easily imagine people whipping the thing out just about anywhere to show videos. Heck, you could post all your family vacation videos to youtube then just hand your victims your iPhone and make them watch your gallery!
I believe this because I experience it myself, though to a much lesser degree. My knees throb whenever I'm within about 10 feet of a wifi NIC or hotspot. Not within 10 feet of the range of the device - thank goodness - but within about 10 feet of the active device itself.

When I first used a wireless PCMCIA card in a work laptop, I almost dropped the laptop on the floor because the effect startled me so much. Now I'm used to it and can generally ignore it, but it's definitely a real sensation.

At first no one believed it, until my coworkers and I did a little test - hide one wireless laptop in a random cube without me knowing which one, and I could find it 100% of the time be walking around until I could feel it.
Smoke_Dawg - stop blowing smoke. No one's lost any jobs over VOIP becoming popular, and even if some telco people do get the ax a decade from now, the cable company will be hiring.
This would be a neat phone to have to listen to my collection of U2 bootlegs.
1. The Motorola Rokr
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
