So typical of Microsoft getting a free ride off a competitor's tail wind (no pun intended). Google was advertising it in the papers and stuff over here in Sydney and no one knew MS was taking our pics too.
This is a good opportunity for those banks to re-engineer their websites to not depend on Active X. As an added bonus they'll be multi-browser and multi-platform compatible. The majority of banking sites do not not depend on Active X. Why lock the customer into Internet Explorer on Windows?
Nice improvement on their last pos.
So the Zune was beating Sandisk for the launch week. Do those figures include the pre-orders? I'd be interested in seeing the stats for the second and third weeks? Also I know a lot of people were returning them...

But seriously competition is good in the tech world and nothing has come close to the ipod combination yet. Apart from wi-fi, good UI and a bigger screen the Zune ain't got much else going for it unfortunately.
Gotta love those zombie claws.
i'd rather put my money in innovation rather than the social
One thing OS X can learn from Windows is the way it deals with the Open/Save dialogs.

In Windows, for example, you can copy an image file on the desktop then in the Open dialog of the application you can paste the file in the directory it defaults to and select it. This can save a huge amount of time in 3D apps for example where you source your textures from the same place.

Another advantage in the Windows Save As dialog is you can click on a file and the filename goes into the type field. Then you can quickly increment the version.

In Windows you can also delete or rename files and folders in the Open/Save dialogs. In OS X you can only click the "New Folder" button and name it once. Once it's there you can't move or delete it without going to the Finder.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
