Touching tale of heartbreak promotes Lenovo S10, rends our hearts in twain {Engadget}

Sep 6th 2008 11:25PM I loved the part at the end where she turns into "The Machine Girl" and kills everybody, including the teddy bear. And then uses the S10 to order a pizza...

littleBits are like Legos for circuit boards {Engadget}

Aug 12th 2008 8:08PM I had a lot of fun with a big box of these components. I don't know much about electronics but I do like magnets and as the company says, magnets are fun!
I dumped the box of littleBits on the table and they were all stuck together in a big ball because of the magnets and all. After a few seconds, the light at the end of the circuit started to glow brighter and brighter and the electric motor started to turn faster and faster. So I watched the light get brighter and the motor turn faster until I got bored and pushed the tangle of electronics off the edge of the table back into the box.
Later, I wondered what I had accidentally created. It created power with no source of power...
So I dumped the box onto the table to see what would be created. I'm not sure what it was, but it called me a "blood orange" and ran out the back door.
Just great! That cost me $150.00! What a waste... Customer Service was a joke! They thought I was an Apple FanBoy!
Oh well, I gotta go, Judge Judys on...

Why not 12pm to 6pm? Think of the attendance!

Lincoln books 8,600 preorders for MKS {Autoblog}

Jun 2nd 2008 10:37PM That's a lot of money for a car that doesn't have a remote opening gas door! You have to give the kid your keys for him to open unlock the gas cap! I don't think I have owned a car that lacked this feature since the early eighties!

"Hello dad, I totaled your Ferrari - what time is dinner?" {Autoblog}

May 5th 2008 8:58PM I did this when I was 16. My Dad gave me the "car" and six days later I totaled it. I went around a corner too fast trying to impress a girl at a bus stop. I rolled it sideways and did two loops end for end. He got the phone call from the police while I was in the hospital. He was furious! The police said it was my parents fault because if they had raised me right I wouldn't do this sort of thing and let my parents decide the punishment. It was a license suspension for 3 months and pay for the sign which I mowed down. (the sign was never replaced.)
I have a scar on my forehead to remind me of my poor decision making skill and the fact that back then you could get a full license just by writing a test.
25 years later when I take my now very elderly father out for a weekly car ride we pass by the accident scene. He doesn't remember, I do.
