This looks perfect for Yahoo! widgets or twitter monitors, anything you want at a glance but not in your way.
That's an option, but not the best solution for every situation.

And even if you decide that Drupal is the right tool for your website, you still have to *design* the site, for which this article is still relevant.
Downloading it now. I hope this finally fixes the "crash every time I close gmail" bug.
It's crashed on me a lot, but I'm also running some unsupported extensions.
I can get it to search Google in the search box, but the "live preview" doesn't have the same Google search results in the drop-down that appears as you type.

The search options dialog has options for Amazon, eBay, and Yahoo, and a couple of others, but not for Google, which is what I really want.

I just want it to behave like Firefox here: I type in the first few letters of a search phrase, hit the down arrow a couple of times to get to the one I want, and hit enter. When I hit enter, it should take me to the Google search page for that term.

Basically it looks like I want the drop-down to be an autocomplete, which is how Firefox works, while Flock wants the drop-down to replace the search page.
Man, I *really* want to like Flock. But its stupid insistence on using Yahoo in the drop-down search box keeps driving me off.

If it would let me switch to the default behavior from Firefox, I would probably actually use Flock. But that one stupid behavior is a deal-breaker for me.
You apparently didn't read the linked article:

"The previous version, launched just over a month ago, brought together our suite of web applications -- including Search, Gmail, Calendar, Reader, and more -- into one easy-to-use interface. Since then, we've streamlined the interface even further."
But it says it can handle FairPlay on the Songbird site, but that only applies to audio apparently.

And for something that isn't trying to replace iTunes, it sure looks a lot like iTunes. And that really what I was hoping for; iTunes has a lot of stupid little limitations that I would love to be rid of.
I think this has a lot of promise. I'm looking forward to a good open-source media player.

This one has a couple of problems that I noticed right off the bat: It doesn't seem to handle smart playlists at all (unless they're a hidden option someplace), and it couldn't handle my iTunes-purchased video files. If it's going to replace iTunes, it needs to be able to do everything iTunes can.

But it's definitely a good start.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
