Here here! HTC -- Where's the US love? Let's get this S740 some US 3G! I am a fading fan of the S710. I'm looking for the replacement, and if you're not going to give the US any love, I'll be looking elsewhere...
You're kidding me... only 160GB? Please tell me that you can upgrade via SATA or USB? 160GB is about 20 hours of HD content. The very first TiVo's and ReplayTVs were 20 hours... 6 years ago.
I'm thinking this is a case of the 'trans-atlantic typo' -- I'm betting this is set for 2K pounds sterling, which would be about 4K USD, which seems about right considering the tremendous spec's on this beast.

My question is... Why can't DYI case manufacturers like Silverstone, Ahanix, etc., come out with awesome HTPC cases like these guys?!?!

Hello. Loving the new engadgetmobile. Love QWERTY smart phones. Would love to win.
You say "HDTVs are built to display HD material, but SD television signals were designed for CRT television sets."

C'mon guys. You're going to lose your street cred if you get the basics wrong. HD television was also designed for CRT televisions. It's not the display technology (CRT) that's the issue here, it's the transmission/broadcast standards.

I enjoy the best HD picture available on my CRT-based RPTV.
Bill is a walking, talking billboard for his company.

But, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Jobs is a walking, talking cult leader.

And, there is nothing wrong with that, either.

The best new gadget for 2005:

Windows XP MCE 2005 Edition.

Sure, MCE has been out for a while, but the finishing touches applied to the 2005 version has finally brought MCE to the "tipping point" that starts making Microsoft a real contender for the future manager of everyone's home theater experience.

An early lead in this space that is not to be underestimated.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
