As mentioned in the article, that's where this mock-up and the earlier report of "new" Aibo came from. Both are fake by the magazine's own admission.

Not so quick there on the LCOS theory buddy. Sony's SXRD was shown to the press (as a working product) well before LCOS, which incidentally started life in the Netherlands under the Philips brand before being shifted to JVC once initial development had been completed. ;-) Geeky, but true!

You want HD recordings that can down-res and playback in normal DVD player without the need for PC? How do you propose to have a DVD disc that can do that on the fly? Perhaps build a 3ghz CPU into the disc itself?! If you're going to rip something at least understand it first.
