I just went to my local apple store this weekend and many of the display iPods had screensavers like this.. I was wondering how they did it. This is clearly a way for Apple to show off their video iPods and it does look pretty cool.
What theme/ui button element set or whatever kde calles it is that? It looks better than plastix which is what I use when I'm on kde.
Spotlight is a tiger feature, not a leopard one... and Tiger has been shipping for over a year now. Apple's "Spaces" is just virtual desktops, abslutely. But how is that a comparison of windows vista to Mac OS X, and why is that a bad thing to include in osx?
I just happy that doesn't apply to my macbook's lipo battery.
As with deevee, I have also been doing this from the first day I got my macbook. The lid of the macbook is magnetically held, so when open you can use them to hold the remote. I thought this was an obvious and old hint when I saw it somewhere a couple of months ago, this holds true today.

It's ether QuickTime's, iChat's, Automator's, or Firefox's icon. You can appreciate these icons best when you look at the really huge versions. I have a folder of beautiful 619 x 619 px transparent pngs that someone has on their site, however I can't provide a link because I have no clue where it was I downloaded them. I really like the firefox icon and was fortunate enough to run across a svg of it (I do have a link for this one (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=23024)) and spent some of today adding glassy/aqua goodness to it and making it my desktop picture of the day. Although I dislike firefox as a browser on Mac OS X, I like it's icon.
When my 3g iPod's hdd failed a few years ago, I decided to fix it myself. I bought a cheap ($30) replacement one on ebay and replaced it in a couple of minutes. Now replacing a broken hard drive isn't the same as a cracked lcd, but the idea is that many things that people get rid of their iPods for are easily fixed if only they try.
My macbook did the exact same thing. I eventually narrowed it down to having too little hard drive space availiable. To solve this problem I re-compressed some files and deleted some things. After that the problem went away and has not come back. If you are having trouble with it and are waiting for a new had drive to get here (that's what I did, ordered a new 7200 rpm 100 gig drive) so don't want to delete anything, try closing other apps before opening large applications that eat up swap space and make the free space decreace. Logging out and back in seemed to always do the trick as well. Here is a screen shot of how bad mine was: (http://img48.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bug8io.png)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
