@pika2000, If you like Sci Fi or Fantasy, check out Baen. They have DRM free ebooks for sale at very reasonable prices in a multitude of formats. They even have a very large free library of their back catalog.
Dan,

I'd suggest you pull out your Strunk & White and read up on the comma. You'll be surprised to learn that it's used for more than just a substitution for conjunctions.
"...and I started to think about how much less efficient it is to send out millions of streams of a live broadcast rather than simply sending out one signal, the old fashioned way (like regular old tv)."

Yeah, it's called IP multicast and its been around for a looong time.
Um, Shure's got a 2 yr. warranty. And they're pretty liberal when it comes to repairs. I had a cord issue with my previous set (e3c) about 18 mos after I bought them. I filled out the form, did *not* include credit card info (it's also a repair order form) and 7 days later I had a brand-new in the box set at my door.
I got the Sensaphonics custom sleeves for my SE530s (they're right in Chicago, so it was pretty easy). They are a marked improvement over the foam inserts. Regardless of brand, if you are able to get fitted for custom sleeves with your particular set of phones I *highly* recommend it.
Yep, if you take crappy pictures the only thing more megapixels will do is allow you to make even larger prints of crappy pictures :)
To head off the pendants:

Ok, actually F=ma (or F=mv^2 for constant velocity). Charlie's hand was *accelerating*, but the ratio still stands since a=change of velocity over time which would still have the effect of quadrupling force in my example.
It's way believable. If you remember a) Roman was laughing, offering up his throat as a target, b)Charlie's hand moved *wicked* fast (remember your Force equations: double the mass, double the force. Double the velocity *quadruple* the force) and c)You could actually hear his larynx crack from the blow.

If the adam's apple gets crushed you are fucked unless you can get an emergency tracheotomy in seconds. Derek is right about the aftereffects, the throat closes almost right away.
I know. I've been watching since season 1. In fact I bought the HD season pass for both on iTunes (no Tivo) and just now finished watching the finale. I'm so glad they closed the main story arc since it looks like this is it for Life. Rumor has it Chuck is the only scripted series being renewed.
"If you have an iPhone you are seen as doing well and can afford luxuries, even when you can't. You own Apple products to be seen as the "I'm a MAC" guy, Cool. If you don't, you're the "I'm a PC" guy, a dork."

And then there are those of us who are doing well and actually can afford luxuries. I rarely ever use credit. Or if I do, as when purchasing on-line, it's paid off in less than 30 days. I also don't rush out and buy the next trendy thing, which is probably what you're describing there. I buy the highest quality I can (of whatever) and then *run it into the ground* before I replace it. And, believe it or not, this does not always mean Apple or IBM (when it comes to PCs).

In fact, I'd probably agree with everything you said, if it wasn't a poorly disguised fanboi attack on Apple.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
