Holy jesus.

This could be a HUGE impact on apple sales.

I'm an iPhone user and Im looking forward to this. ATT was in right?
Well, I guess that this will "phone-home" the encryption key... for our safety of course. I'd just love MS to be checking out my porn stash...
And what might you be using Mr Dogpatch? All those young whippersnappers and thier doo-dads getting your panties up in a bunch. Guess what, I'm 17, and living in my basement, and I plan to stay here till im 21, and mooch off of my parents, because its free, and thats being Economic. So dont be jealous that you have to get off your ass to go to work everyday, while all the other Pimple Faced nerds like me, get it for free.
This is kinda funny, its so high tech, yet, it looks like it runs Windows for Workgroups 3.11
Being an owner of the current line of the Gigabeat, I can say that toshiba has done a horrible job of keeping the customers happy. We were expecting a firmware update last august, and now they have told us (US/UK/CA) users that they dont plan to release it at all.

I really hope they do better with this one
yea, im thinking the same thing, ditch the techno guys, maybe something indie or alternative. that sounds straight out of GB or fruity loops.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
