Windows Mobile 7 'Maldives' test program reportedly on track for Q1 2010 release to OEMs {Engadget}
Nov 10th 2009 9:58PM Doctor: Here you go, here's your baby, Windows Mobile 7.
Microsoft: Aww, it's so cute! I just know it's going to grow up to be big and strong.
Doctor: Uh, yeah. About that.
Microsoft: What is it, doc? Give it to me straight, I can take it.
Doctor: Well, it's just that...
Microsoft: WHAT?!
Doctor: Your baby was born without developers.
Microsoft: What do you mean? I have all kinds of developers.
Doctor: No, I'm afraid while you were pregnant with Windows 7 for the past couple years, all the developers have dried up. They all moved on to iPhone and Android. They're gone, forever, and without them your baby is going to waste away slowly and never reach maturity.
Microsoft: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Lenovo IdeaPad U150 11.6-inch ultraportable hits the streets with $699 asking price {Engadget}
Nov 10th 2009 11:39AM Ok that was a cheap shot, but still, when Intel finally does make a graphics chip that's not total garbage they're going to have a hard time selling it because everyone is accustomed to associating their name with terrible graphics performance.

Nov 10th 2009 11:33AM That was a sneaky move, not mentioning the janky intel graphics until the very end of the article so I'd read it almost completely.

Nov 3rd 2009 12:26PM Sometimes I think Sony is only in the PC business to make Apple appear not to be overpriced.
Dell Mini 3iX has WiFi, 3G, and a number of leaked UI photos {Engadget}
Nov 2nd 2009 10:28PM @Epsilon: I guess you have a point. Sometimes you need to use the internet, but you want to take your time. Wifi doesn't help with that, always serving up internets fast. Sometimes you want the internets to chillax and take 90 seconds to bring up the weather.

Nov 2nd 2009 10:22PM Wow, I did not know that a device could be legally called a smartphone and not have wifi. Shouldn't they get an asterisk or something?
lol. Do they also have rotary dials?
Apple will officially support Windows 7 in Boot Camp before end of year {Engadget}

Apple will officially support Windows 7 in Boot Camp before end of year {Engadget}
Oct 22nd 2009 7:12PM I'm convinced that Apple does little things to crap on the Windows experience on their hardware. There's a bug in their trackpad drivers for the 2008 Macbook that causes a bsod, so I have to use an external mouse or face random crashes. The thread about it on Apple's forums is still unresolved.
tl;dr: Apple doesn't give a rat's ass about Boot Camp.
Apple patent application reveals ad-supported OS, desktop Armageddon {Engadget}
Oct 22nd 2009 10:42AM Well, if you're optimistic about el jobso, you'd hope that this was patented with the purpose of putting it under a rock and only taking it out if someone else makes an ad-supported OS. When that day comes, you take out the patent and sue them into oblivion.
OTOH, if this is really part of Apple's future OS roadmap I will literally put all my Apple hardware in a pile and set it on fire.
