yeah, it's still £289.99 I'm afraid.

Come on ps3fanboy.com! Keep up!
@ Joe Commisso

Agreed. Someone should perhaps have told them about Energizer Lithium batteries, which trounce all AA batteries, NiMh/NiCad/Alkaline/whatever.
@mike: I don't believe that for a second. Rumours are just that, rumours.

As for this article, I was under the impression that in spite of scare stories and rumours that Sony was ditching all it's Cell manufacturing, what actually happened was the plants themselves are being sold to Toshiba, whilst Sony and Toshiba themselves go into a Joint Venture overseeing the manufacturing and development of the processor.

No doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

But the internet has a funny way of pushing rumours around as if they were news.
We've already got these in UK Tesco stores. More-so in the larger "Extra" ones.

I find them a bit distracting really, if I'm honest.
I don't see why SCEE can't just push out identical English-language updates to the EU Store at the same time as the USA Store, and then work on alternative languages in their own time. Then at least those in the EU that speak English or are prepared to download a title in English in order to take advantage of it being there don't have to suffer a wait.
I don't know what it is, but I feel compelled to get one.
I'm (sadly) going to wait for the EU BluRay release, which means I've got to wait another 3 WEEKS before I get this.

You'd better all still be crap by the time I get it! :D

oh, and @Corbin, it must be pretty desperate times when a 360 fan comes in a PS3 messageboard to post about a 360 game that's not out yet claiming it's better. It clearly isn't better, and the funny thing is, you know it! ;)
Makes perfect sense to me. I don't begrudge Insomniac for doing this - and let's not forget this is as much the developer's decision as it is Sony's, perhaps more-so.

As long as those downloading the title are CLEARLY made aware of the impications of the restrictions imposed by the DRM.

I for one am going to wait for the EU BluRay release in September.
So which came first with the Smile-Detection? The Sony T-series announced a few days ago, or this?

Is this a new "must-have feature"?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
