Going to college this year, and don't actually have a functioning cellphone...Does that equal an automatic win?
Hey, uh, regarding the nonsequitur response, he clearly said the Zune SOFTWARE was immeasurably better.

Quit trolling bud.
Wow, talk about a gamechanger.
Now we get to see which our market values most, design or function?
Any bets?
Those claiming that this looks like an Iphone:

Look closely. It looks like theres a battery cover on the back of the phone. Innovation!!!

Anyone else think that the ring on the front (assumedly the D-pad) looks a little Treo Pro -esque?
I think the bailout money deserves to go to tech bloggers and their readers so that we can prop up our economy (and the world's) by buying new gear to usher in a new era of technocratic rule!

Also, please?

Yeah, that what my friends and I are doing, but after plugging it into a wall charger via USB (not the PC), it charges, and boots up, and hangs again.

A Zune 120 would be nice. Generally, Microsoft has been great about service, my 360 RRoD'd and I had it back repaired in 6 days. This is a huge opportunity for Microsoft to get some good will back. After it has already lost it though.
This happened to me this morning, (well, I noticed it then), and the fix for me was just letting it sit on that screen till the battery drained. After a while you get th battery logo with the exclamation point in it, and it is currently charging. It doesn't look good because usually the screen with the plug inside the battery goes away after 5 minutes and it starts booting up. 20 minutes so far and nothing.
Actually, the lack of IMEInumbers is a threat. (Some) of the terrorist attacks that rocked Ahmedabad and Delhi were cellphone-activated. Impossible to trace. Good on Nokia. They're already a massive force in India, especially the high-end NSeries phones, so this isnt a ploy of market share. They are aped by many shady dealers.
In regards to ATT v. Sprint, AT&T in my experience has the coverage, but Sprint has the speed, and, even pre-Iphone 3G, the available bandwidth to be reliable.
That's a pretty good idea, an OS with all the opensource standards integrated in, but the one problem with that I can think of is security.
A browser exploit would compromise your OS directly.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
