Man you didn't know this?! Check out IT-Falke Re-namer, it been around for ages and does a good job: http://it-falke.com/software/renamefiles/us_download.php
Here again I see Google has done the clever thing. But I live in the UK, did you hear that Google. Time to do the decent thing.

Samuel, UK
It's CRAZY, I have Vista and cannot tag PDF's even though Vista uses XMP (which Adobe owns and worked with MS to intergrate it into Vista)!!

When is that going to be fixed?
I always hit ctrl+T to open a nnew tab and then tab twice to get to the searchbox, then search. Its natural for me and not laborious like you might think
You guys are missing the point; SONY being traditionally closed off are venturing into a new market and not only adhearing to standards (EXIF v2.1) but by doing this it is allowing anyone to use the cheap module, yes $150 is cheap (especially when you earn in £££).

So they are allowing competing cameras to work with the CS1, it adhears to standards and the free software works with Google Maps! Puls they are utilizing meta-data, which is an extreemly underused resource in computing.

I personally can't wait, but the UK release date is not made, yet.
Yea but when are eBay going to add RSS feeds e.g. expensive auctions, or maybe choose from the tagging system they are going to use
Online tagging is one thing, and a good thing. But inserting meta-data is quite another and I for one am fed up of poeple ignoring it. Sure there is no download feature, but their will be and even Google is not encouraging meta-data tagging of files - its almost hopeless.
Three extension FF should have copied:

1. The stop/refresh button extension
2. Delicious intergration
3. Copy plain text (no formatting a la C&P notepad)
Well why couldn't they fill in Franc for Google Maps at the same time!?!

Samuel
this is bloddy excellent!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
