Vodafone's BlackBerry Storm art department all soon to be fired {Engadget}

Oct 8th 2008 5:37AM Hey guys, I think I found Vodafone's promotional materials director!

Keepin' it real WTF, Part II: Russian iPhone "boots up," does nothing else {Engadget}

Oct 7th 2008 9:40PM Wow, that's so shady. I actually had a similar thought when airport security had me boot up my laptop a few years ago. The moment it flashed a Windows logo (yes, I used to have a Windows laptop), the guy waved me through. What's preventing a terrorist from creating a laptop shell with just enough electronics to show a Windows boot screen, packed with a couple pounds of plastic explosives? Er...maybe I shouldn't have just put that idea on the internet...

Oh, and iEye, for the sake of all us sane Apple fans, STFU. I mean, STFU dude. Seriously. STFU.

Keepin' it real fake, part CLXIII: AirPort Express gets expressly aped {Engadget}

Oct 5th 2008 10:22PM Judging from the text by the LEDs, this thing will pull itself right out of the socket when it's plugged in the right way, unless it weight less than a couple ounces or you have an exceptionally tight socket. Try plugging in an Airport express the wrong way and you'll know what I mean.

Apple introducing new manufacturing process, MacBook 'Brick'? {Engadget}

Oct 5th 2008 4:24PM Good lord, will all the morons commenting on no removable battery give it up already? The article said NOTHING about a completely sealed case. Why is it so hard to envision a cut out on the bottom of a sculpted case for a battery? And RAM and HD go in through the battery compartment anyway, so they don't need a separate access panel. This sounds like a pretty revolutionary manufacturing process and should make for some sexy laptops.

Chevy Volt's powertrain and recharging clarified {Engadget}

Sep 26th 2008 2:14PM Desterbe,
Because the portable battery as you describe it would be heavy and inconvenient, plus it would contain only a minuscule amount of energy. Try lugging around a car battery and see how convenient that is.

Amazon: 6 million DRM-free songs on T-Mobile G1 {Engadget}

Amazon: 6 million DRM-free songs on T-Mobile G1 {Engadget}

Sep 23rd 2008 9:16AM I agree with most of what you said. I like iTMS for how convenient it is, but the iTunes Plus (no-DRM, high-bitrate) selection is weak, so I usually buy from Amazon if I can't get it on iTunes plus. I suspect it's the labels, though, not Apple, who are keeping the DRM-free stuff from iTunes, so as to make Amazon a viable competitor to Apple. I WISH Apple would allow an Amazon MP3 downloader for iPhone, but that will never happen ("duplicates existing functionality", ie, competes with Apple).

Oclock designer refuses to take responsibility for his creation {Engadget}

Sep 11th 2008 1:42PM that's an unbelievably pretentious statement.
