SanDisk secretly concocting read-only memory for archival use? {Engadget}

Feb 27th 2007 3:26PM I can see an alternative use for this technology. How about forensics? Photos on it can't be removed, altered and the written back. EXIF and time stamps can be altered, but this can't.

Also what about disribution of music? Promotional material? If it's cheap enough, it could be a viable alternative to CD-Rs for some situations.

Humax releases 32-inch LCD with built-in dual-tuner PVR {Engadget}

Aug 28th 2006 4:12PM Seamslik this could be an upgrade in one area and a downgrade in another

http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/products/dtv_lcd32_lgb-32tpvr.asp

Their current 32" (and 26" and 40")LCD PVR unit come with 40GB drives. This has a 160GB but might just be a recorder as opposed to the whole time shifting PVR devices hey have now.

that would be odd, as this upgrade should just require a larger hard drive (2.5" apparently) and little other development work.

As for "PC ports" that culd refer to the USB Mass Storage Host, RS232, DVI-D and D-sub
