I would like to have the item #3, the Rand McNally's StreetFinder. I would like the set of maps because I have a Clie N760C and I would use the maps to help me travel to different places that I volunteer at in Michigan’s rugged and cold Upper Peninsula. My volunteer activities encompasses: picking up trash at a adopt-a-highway locations, working at a hospital, helping shut-ins prepare for winter and spring by conducting odd jobs for them and raising money and food for salvation army programs. Thank you very much for considering my application for prize 3.
First of all roaming areas and coverage areas aside nobody brings up the point that ALLTEL sells many of the phones that Verizon carries but without all the crippling. I own a PPC-6700 (a.k.a. HTC Apache) and their service plan is great. I have uncrippled Bluetooth and I can connect my phone to my computer and use it as an EV-DO card. I can do this for $40 a month. I have also heard that they will also be carrying the Moto Q soon after Verizon does (within a mouth). Their prices are better than Verizon on price and capabilities.
So when on your last podcast you guys were wondering why there is not a company out in the middle, one that provides uncrippled phones and one that offers cheap wireless broadband I was confused. I believe Alltel is that company.
Finally!!!!!!!!!
Where is the podcast????????????????
I really liked Ryan Block's review about the differences between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. As an owner of 4 bata tape recoders and 1 Bata video recorder I really like the strait facts about the two before I back sony again. This better not turn out like bata max, sony memory stick, Mini disk,... the list goes on. I just hope sony doesn't f things up and non superior format wins again. Also I would really like a sling box so I can watch my bata tapes anywhere.
I would like to remind you guys that some people who have the apachie are alltel customers. While their ev-do is almost not existant they do have the best version of the phone. You must remenber that alltel has the largest coverage area by square miles and most of it supports 1x which is fast as edge. At least I am getting 125Kb per second. In conclusion I just want to say that if you are going to compare phone company just remenber that alltel has it to and they roam off of both sprint and verizon.
it is not m8 but mb
htc apache is my type of pda.
The treo is a nice phone.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
