I'd rather pay $100 more for the Synology DS509+.
From what the site says, it's temporarily on sale because they are sold out of their cheaper model.

Here's a video of their cheaper model to show what it can do:

Why just 2TB? I say add support for 16TB via something like a Drobo.
Do you want Bluetooth for a wireless remote?
Come to think of it, the original Gameboy Advance had this worked out and great battery life.
The car kit is $120 and the app is $100. For $220, I'll pass.
Will I need to shake it up to make it light up? I don't want to give up being able to see what I'm pressing in the dark.
A small amount of flash memory will do it.
In 2003, that's how much 1TB would cost. Of course it wouldn't be nearly as fast or come in 1 hard drive.
Can you guess where the ON switch is?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
