Sorry, that was in response to sigmasigma.
Wait, don't leave us hangin'! What happened?
We're liveblogging from the store.... gotta run, though, doors are about to open. Look for updates here:

Of course there will be a new jailbreak. Remember that one of the key fixes in 1.1.2 is the TIFF exploit, so nobody expected AppSnapp to work.
Agreed. Let's look at the 1TB hard drives that are starting to come out... by my calculations, they're "missing" about 92GB space. Hard drives are sold today with less capacity than that "error."

I think a class action lawsuit might be the only way to get the storage companies to realize that we take issue with their insistence on using a system of measurement (base 10) that makes so little sense with respect to computers.

I also don't think it's ambitious enough to ask Seagate to add some small print to packaging that nobody'll ever read. There'd be parties held in the streets if Seagate and other companies were forced to report storage in binary. Then they'd have to choose between marketing 149.1GB drives and adjusting capacities slightly.

I'd PAY my 7% to see that.
> Who cares about the increased stability of vista when it sucks up resources like a vacuum. If i pay for expensive hardware, i don't want a freaking OS getting in the way of using the hardware to its full extent.

This is so farking true. This is 2007, and my laptop has two 64-bit cores running at 2.4GHz and 2GB RAM! If I showed it to people back in the 70s and 80s, they wouldn't be able to understand why it doesn't boot in two seconds and launch simple apps like web browsers instantly!

Hardware isn't just advancing, it's trying to keep up with modern OSs and software so everything doesn't just slow down over the years!
...in other words, please do it again!
Dude, you didn't do that pairing right. On the first screen where it lists found devices, hit "passkey options." Try the one where you enter it yourself and use 0000. Also try no passkey and empty passkey.

letting the compy generate one only works for devices with a keypad.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
