Sorta cared before, was at least interested in how they wanted to change up the OS, now though, not in the slightest. Having no centralized storage for all these web apps we're supposed to be using runs contrary to the way my brain works, along with a variety of other issues I don't care to to get "accustomed" to, even for netbooks.
Once I entered my user name and password and bam, I hacked my way that easily into the facebook homepage, what amateurs.

Groups are largely for tools anyways.
Only screwed up on Toyota, thing's impossible!!

The key difference to solve is in the lowercase t, c and the width of the capital A.
Man, I was so excited when you were calling it lighter!! Unfortunately I got the totally wrong impression, it's still a hulking, ram eating, beast of a program. Only in a lighter grey, yawn.
Kudos to apple, twitter's a load of bullshit.
RIP, Remove It Permanently, best firefox addon solution for gettin' rid of the gaps adblock plus leaves.
Put a 10 cent flat tax on all fast food items and the recession will be over. Alternatively, a 200% tax on Fois Gras.
Audacity.

Though a fantastic program that I use frequently, it looks like windows 95 had a bad reaction to steroids and puked up windows sound recorder. Criticising is going to sound arrogant no matter how I go about it, because I haven't put any effort into the development, but maybe some Tips?

Grey on grey on grey on grey on grey with a couple blue lines and numbers, a little variety and contrast would make the program seem a lot less dated.

Make the default size of the new track a bit smaller, resizing is a mess and unless you're only recording 2, maybe three tracks, it fills up the screen pretty fast and then your in scroll city. The track size could be adaptive to which one is currently selected, it would make it a bit harder to get lost which brings me to,

Allow color coding of the tracks, having to name each one can be heavy handed for quick recording jobs. And having to look at the top left hand corner to see if it's the right track is distracting and i often lose my place. Having a big visual across the screen where you dont even have to think about it would make arranging and mixing a lot more pleasant of an experience.

Every tool on the main screen is in a group of little strips, and you can either use the whole strip or nothin'. That could be changed.

The default Control Toolbar (Pause/Play/Record/stop) is really gross looking, i understand portruding look it's going for, but it just looks cheap as all can be, like you scanned the controls for a fisher price knockoff you found in chinatown.

And that's just a bit off the top of my head. But despite how I may feel about the little things, I mean absolutely no offense to the team behind Audacity for creating a rock solid application I use all the time, my thanks to them, but I do feel that there are some interface issues hindering some people from using it as often as they could.
I think I'm the only person in the world happy with my Vista startup time (~40 sec), maybe if it was a Palm Pilot I might have some issues with it.

The 64bit version has never seemed sluggish on any of my systems. But for the question, startup times don't matter to me that much anyways.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
