Dido to the Nuvi.

In addition to the US, my 350 has most of the UK; loaded via Metroguide Europe. Had no problems with roundabouts or anything as long as the British voice was selected.
@11:12 - As Bender said, "That's not irony, it's a coincidence"
You know, I've wondered if the speaker holes are filling up with pocket lint... they do look pretty dirt, and my speaker is a lot quieter than it used to be.
Nearly 70 years after it was first suggested! (At least according to the Feb, 1938 issue of "Modern Mechanix")

One big gotcha: 11a (5GHz) requires a very different antenna pattern. If the iPod doesn't have the antenna, there is little hope of 11a.

I'm willing to bet it was a chip availability / discount issue. Apple only needed b/g but got the a/b/g chipset at no extra cost.
Yahoo! I just got my phone today. I wonder if 1.03's release tomorrow will tank all this fun for a few days?
In early 2005 the Oak Park police (a suburb of Chicago) notified residents that this exact scam was going on after a number of people fell for it. From memory, one person couldn't figure out where the power cable plugged in and it wasn't until they called their children over that they discovered they had an oven door for a tv.

Coming from the defense industry with some experience in Man-Launched countermeasures, the major difficult part I see is getting the parachute to deployed in time. Launch / spike detectors are effective and in place on many vehicles. But you'd have to launch the countermeasure, wait to clear the vehicle, then deploy the chute and hope it opens before the RPG arrives.

LittleJoe: You might be surprised how easy it is to intercept RPGs; they are basically slow bullets with no guidance or maneuvering ability.

(Slightly different topic:) So, how much you want to guess the final product name has something to do with spiders or "web slinger" ??? 8^)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
