Does anyone know what case that is?
The most obvious processors for the Mac Pro (or whatever) systems would be Woodcrest, but more interesting is what chipset etc. they'll use, 5000X, P or V? Will they have room for more than two hard disks? How many 16x PCIe slots will they have (considering that none of the Woodcrest chipsets support more than 1)?

I wouldn't call ASUS's support bad, just unpredicatable: If you send them an email for tech support, or phone, they are very helpful, and generally reply to emails within 12 hours. They also honour warranties: my brother killed his laptop hard disk, and they happily replaced it. However, they initially sent him back someone else's machine, then phoned to say ooops, there's been a messup, so it took about two weeks to get the laptop repaired.

All of those programs have uses that run independently of Windows and OSX: the BIOS and Firmware programs run under Windows, but produce *stand alone* boot disks. Maybe "Mac OS" has just been filled in as a prank, when "Independent of OS" would have sufficed.
eMacs are terrible. They're noisy (I can hear the one in the next room over my computer), unreliable (compared to iMacs and Dells) and as pointed out above, have terrible screens that are impossible to clean. Also, turning the volume up causes the screen to flicker.

I hope Apple completely redesigns them for this release.
Josh is the only person who seems to have completely grasped the point of vPro. If Dell and HP go along with it, it'll be a bigger hit than Centrino in the large bussiness sector.

Oops, a bit late, but what's with the poorly done Vi$ta logo? If your have to make a pathetic joke like that, at least do some anti-ailiasing so your vertical line fits in with the rest of the logo nicely.

Whoa! A spectacular day for engadget!

This is the highest concentration of sensible comments I've _ever_ read here. Keep up the good work people!

I have to agree with you antimatter, glacia and Christian. :)

TC, the VIIV PCs that are out already don't have TCMs. They may do in the future, but it's not a requirement at the moment.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
