The IEEE article says: "The system consists of a gimbaled air jet with two degrees of freedom."

That certainly makes it sound like it's only a single air jet.
Good God, the grammar in this post is horrible.
Grates are very loud. Road noise is a big concern in populated areas.

Plus, unless they're open at both the top and bottom (like on a bridge) they tend to fill in with dirt and gravel over time.
I'm skeptical. I've seen people try to get bags like that one through inspection only to be turned back because the inspectors strictly interpreted 'zip-lock bag' to mean the disposable plastic kind.
This particular weapon is actually supposed to work only on the skin of its targets, so the 'cook from the inside' effect of kitchen microwaves doesn't happen. In the animal and human tests so far it has been shown to cause redness and blistering of the skin with prolonged exposure. So - beet red victims? Very Likely!
I'm not sure what you're gunning for here...

1) Are there any vehicles in existence that don't accelerate less well when towing something? I can't think of any.

2) Are there any car parts in existence that stand up well to 40 years of doing ANYTHING? Car parts wear out - that's life. As for memory, Lithium Ion batteries don't have memory problems, at least not in the same way older rechargeables did.

3) I don't think it's fair to compare the batteries in a piece of indoor consumer electronics to something that's been engineered from the ground up to be inside a car. I can't leave my desktop computer out in the snow on a freezing day but I don't worry about the control computer in my car.
Nintendo Wii. Maaaybe a 360...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
