3G iPhone revealed in third-party case render? {Engadget}
May 19th 2008 12:13PM Its supposed to be a "shop". Its a rendering. Its not a photo and no one claimed it was. Its just interesting that a company is making renderings based off of the new specs. Do they have confirmation of these specs from Apple? Have they seen the new iPhone? That's why this is interesting.
Samsung's 12.1-inch OLED laptop concept makes us swoon {Engadget}
May 16th 2008 3:52AM Amazing how the addition of an OLED display seems to do away with the need for things like a hard drive, ram, and other internal components. Unless those are contained in that third panel as well.

This is nitpicky but linoleum and tile aren't the same things. Linoleum is actually quite soft. You're thinking of ceramic or porcelain tile. As the son of a man who owns a flooring store, I figured I should point that out.

The dell actually had a built in 2mp camera but you got me on the backlit keyboard and multitouch trackpad. Kind of disputable I suppose. But I think the HP I found deals a deathblow to the 17 inch Macbook pro. Sure the Macbook pro's graphics card is slightly better and there's the question of the LED screen so its not "exactly" the same. But if we want to play that game I could just max out the processor, ram, and hard drive of the HP and still be a solid $700 below the Macbook Pro and have a clearly better computer.
Once again, I'm no hater. I just think its silly that so many Mac users try to deny that we pay a premium for our fetish.

Over one thousand dollars cheaper. The only difference I can find is that I'm not sure the HP has an LED screen. But is that worth $1300?
