So, basically, you're saying most Netbooks don't fulfill any of your needs. Nothing wrong with that.
That's friggin' awesome.
Man, this is gonna disappoint my wife. She's been really looking forward to having an Android device on the AT&T network. I wonder if the delay is gonna be longer than her patience.
You get more than just a stylus for the $100 over the 1000 model: the 1000S includes the Wacom technology allowing you to write onto the device itself and save the notes. The next $100 for the 1000SW gets you that AND the WiFi/Bluetooth technology as opposed to only USB syncing.

That's really why these guys are so expensive: they're both a document reader AND a note-taking tablet. It's still a pretty hefty price tag, sure.
...putting the game -- and its presumably ornate playing pieces -- out of the reach of most casual players.

Well, at least they're keeping in tradition with the online game. ;)
hah. That's frickin' hilarious. I'm all for snagging one of these, just for that scepter he's carrying. ;)
I normally buy my stuff from Gamestop or Bestbuy.
I'm interested in Age of Conan because it brings nifty new concepts to PvP, has incredibly good graphics and is a very welcome change to the same ol' MMO.
The One Game... I mean, Ring to rule them all, indeed. ;)
There MUST be something in the water.... I logged in for the first time in 6-8 months last night, too!

And I agree, man I do enjoy this game and it looks like maybe all it needed was time to mature post-launch to really garner my interest. This is exactly the point that I'm glad I paid for that lifetime subscription, it afforded me the ability to be able to put the game down and resume it at any time.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
